Cantastic: A followup to Art From Trash.

Finally finished the earrings made from a hair colorant can.  I used Iced Enamels and Ice Resin and I think they came out quite nice, if I say so myself.  I added a bit of reclaimed necklace chain, a bead, and some ear wires.  Not sure these will be a production item, but I do like them.

Art from trash

I'm making earring components from an empty hair colorant can from the salon. Together with some Ice Enamels and some blood, sweat, and tears.. I think they're turning out kind of spiffy!

Two of my favorite things again

I've mentioned before I love rocks and the ocean. They're at the top of the list-o-faves. If I had to pick one over the other, it would be tough! By themselves they are lovely. Together, I can't really put it into words!  As I was semi-scampering (don't want to break a hip!) over these rocks the other day, I said out loud to the world, "I'm so in love right now!" I didn't think about it; it just somehow came out of my mouth.  That's just how it felt.  I hope you have a place where you feel the same. ( Part1 http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=4965407228902351826#editor/target=post;postID=233559634253273894;onPublishedMenu=allposts;onClosedMenu=allposts;postNum=60;src=postname)

Art is everywhere..

Even in a faded plastic table cloth!  This pattern is created by an inexpensive table cover left over from graduation festivities.  It's covering a glass-top table on the deck. Moisture has gotten underneath and the sun has faded the once-red plastic to pink. So a combination of the elements has created this pattern - we have not manipulated it in any way.  The table underneath is black.  How cool is this!

Housework? nope.

"Sometimes it's okay to pick the flowers."   Collage, ink, acrylic paint, gesso, graphite, watercolor crayon.

Instead of my chores and assorted tasks, I was doing this.  I typically tell myself when everything is done it's okay to allow myself time to create.. guess what? everything - whatever that is - is NEVER done and there is no time to create.  So, lately I've just been saying yes to myself here and there and no to those things, which in the big picture aren't that important... you know, like housework! Who's with me?!!
