My husband doesn't bring me flowers.......

... he brings me this kind of thing instead.  He gets me.  But I'd enjoy flowers now and again (ever?), too!

Craftsy fun!

I made this pouch featured here:  http://www.craftsy.com/class/bag-making-basics-reversible-tote-and-zipper-pouch/148  for my daughter for Christmas.  She uses it for a travel art kit.  It was fun and easy! Give it a whirl.  I'm planning on making more.  I think I'd actually sew more, if I watched more instructional videos, as I am a visual learner.  When I sew from printed directions, there is smoke rolling off ye olde seam ripper - she gets a workout!!  Here's how mine turned out. BTW - no seam rippers were harmed in the making. I'd love to see yours, if you make one. Meanwhile, I'm off to see what else Craftsy has going on. :D

Here is the finished painting, titled "Source" that has taken me all summer and then some to finally complete. It was done using decalcomania - a surrealist technique and is being included in a show next month consisting of instructor and student work.  The experience will be great, just setting a goal and realizing it.  I've not had anything in a show since high school, which was 30+ years ago. eek.
